Question:

How do I move text from one page of my resume to another?

Answer:

If your resume takes up more than one page, you may find that one of your entries gets cut off from one page to the next. You can easily clean this up using our line break button, adjusting your margins, or by entering line breaks manually using the Enter key.

Step 1: First, you'll need to open your resume in the builder.

Step 2: Next, you'll want to open your resume in the Preview & Customize viewer.

Step 3: Once you are in the Preview & Customize mode, you'll need to open the Print Preview view to see how your resume will look when it is printed.

Step 4: You can now see where the page breaks of your resume are, allowing you to identify where your sections end up being cut. Remember the specific entry for the section getting separated, and when you are ready, press the Editor button in the top menu.

Step 5: Select the specific section that needs to be adjusted from the menu on the left. For this example we will be working with the Experience section.

Step 6: Once you are in the section, scroll through the entries and find the one being cut by the page break. Then scroll up to the section before it, and click on the final line in the Experience entry field.

Step 7: Use either the enter line break button, or the Enter key on your keyboard to enter new lines. When you think you have enough new lines to move your next section to the following page, check your progress using the Print preview viewing mode, just like in steps 2 and 3

Step 8: If you would like, you can add line breaks throughout your resume to create a more aesthetically pleasing format. This will also allow you to avoid having a large blank space at the bottom of your resume.
